Take R and Scala to Big Data using in-memory Algorithms from H2O.
In this Triple Header for SF Big Data Science

Anqi Fu , our resident R wiz, will present data munging and R adhoc analytics at scale.  Be prepared for fireworks with R in RStudio and not a ton of powerpoint.
Scala has reached tremendous adoption amongst Machine learning & Data Science  users. Our customers have spoken and we obliged with a simple interface.
Michal Malohlava , the original DSLinguist and backpacker through Random Forests, presents Scala API for H2O and a bold roadmap that will bring Scalding and bring extensibility to in-memory prediction engine to Scala users.
Tom Kraljevic , the black-magic man who simplifies complex systems, will present some original hadoop-smithy & wicked design that simplifies integrating in-memory services like H2O, on YARN & Hadoop .
(btw, Tom is also the VP of Engineering @h2oai,
So meet him before / after for drinks & println(“Hello, World!”); )
Join us for an evening of fun with Data & Languages!

H2O.ai Team

At H2O.ai, democratizing AI isn’t just an idea. It’s a movement. And that means that it requires action. We started out as a group of like minded individuals in the open source community, collectively driven by the idea that there should be freedom around the creation and use of AI.

Today we have evolved into a global company built by people from a variety of different backgrounds and skill sets, all driven to be part of something greater than ourselves. Our partnerships now extend beyond the open-source community to include business customers, academia, and non-profit organizations.
